The brand
Born in the mountains
Cedar & Pine was launched as a boutique label by designer Nishant Vashisht and his business partner Rahul Agarwal in February 2021 — inaugurated with a store in Almora, a small and beautiful hill town in Uttarakhand, and Rahul's hometown.
The name comes from the two trees that grow in abundance in the mountains — a nod to the shared love for nature and wilderness that defines both founders. That love translates directly into the brand's design language: simple, uncluttered, considered.

Made for the occasion
Cedar & Pine designs occasion wear for women who want something fashionable and contemporary — appropriate for Indian celebrations, but never too heavy, never over-embellished.
With an overwhelming response on social media and the website, the brand moved to Delhi and opened its flagship store at The Corridors, Chattarpur. Today, Cedar & Pine retails through its own website and multi-brand outlets including Aza and Aashni + Co.

Nishant Vashisht
Designer & Co-founder
A graduate of NIFT New Delhi (2004), Nishant began his career with JJ Valaya before spending his most formative years with couturier Tarun Tahiliani. The experience gave him a deep understanding of Indian occasion wear — its construction, its drape, its place in a woman's wardrobe.
He designs with a clean, balanced aesthetic, always leaning towards a contemporary blend of colour, silhouette, and styling — even within traditional wear. It was during the pandemic that Nishant finally took the leap into his own entrepreneurial journey, and Cedar & Pine was born.

Rahul Agarwal
Co-founder
Rahul brings the entrepreneurial vision and business acumen that has shaped Cedar & Pine into the brand it is today. With roots in Almora — where the label was first born — Rahul shares Nishant's love for the mountains and for fashion that is grounded, genuine, and beautiful without being excessive.
His belief that fashion can be accessible, joyful, and uncomplicated sits at the heart of everything Cedar & Pine does.
